What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic healing is a holistic approach to mental health that acknowledges the depth of science now supporting how deeply connected our mental and emotional states are to our nervous system. It focuses on the connection between mind and body to treat trauma, stress, and anxiety.

The Power of Breathwork

While there are many forms of somatic therapy, I focus specifically on the Breathwork modality. My approach is to help you regulate the nervous system through breath and movement, creating a safe container to process the emotions and memories that surface.

There is a reason that elite performers, including Navy SEALs, go through specialized Breathwork training: because our breath is directly connected to our nervous system's ability to maintain control and safety.

My Journey

The Struggle

I was sexually abused for five years as a young boy, a trauma that stripped me of my voice, willpower, and inner strength. For decades, I buried the shame, but the trauma followed me everywhere. I lived in a cycle of submission and panic, unable to form healthy relationships because my body would default to helplessness.

Eventually, I spent five years in talk therapy. While I found forgiveness and learned to speak about my past, something wasn't right. My daily panic attacks, paralyzing fear, and deep insecurity remained. I was healing my mind, but my body was still stuck.

The Moment Everything Changed

That is when I found a Somatic Life Coach. Her work didn't just help me cope; it transformed me. After just two months, I felt like a completely different person. I didn't just "get back" my voice and confidence - I discovered them for the first time. I finally found the life, peace, and passion I had been searching for.

Now, my deepest passion and calling is to bring about this same transformation in others - to help men move from surviving to thriving, just as I did.
